Czeslaw Bassara

1948  born in Brzeszcze near Oswiecim (Auschwitz) in Poland in a Christian family.

1965 came to know the Lord. The same year started children's ministry in Poland.
Studied and worked in Oswiecim area until 1969.

1969 - 1974 studied theology at Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw, Poland.  

1972 married Helena. Two children, Bogdan (born 1975) and Dorota (born 1979). Both are married and together with their spouses (Agnieszka and Konrad) are involved in the CEF ministry.

1975 got his Masters Degree in Theology in Poland.

1976 completed the CEF Leadership Training Institute in Kilchzimmer, Switzerland.

1969 - 1990 organized outreach to children and youth and trained teachers and parents in Poland.

1982 - 1990 founded churches and taught in Bible Schools and Evangelical churches in Poland.

1991 until 2006/2007 together with Helena served as CEF Director for Central and Eastern Europe. In a special way they were concentrating on the CEF ministry in Russia and Central Asia as well as giving direction to national leaders in 30 countries. Were also members of the European Field Council.

2000 - 2006 studied in doctoral program in theology at the Evangelical Theological Faculteit in Heverlee/Leuven in Belgium.

2006 got his PhD in Systematic Theology: 'Postmodern Hermeneutics and the Evangelical Response.'

2008 started 'Proclaiming the Word!' that is the CEF International Bible Teaching Ministry.  

Dr. Czesław Bassara speaks English, German, Russian, Polish and Esperanto. His Bible teaching ministry has brought him already to more than 60 countries in all continents.
